FHI Ceramic Curling Iron

November 28, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

The creators that brought you the best in ceramic hair straighteners have now invested their extensive knowledge and millions of research and development dollars to bring you the best in curling iron technology. The newly launched FHI Ceramic Curling Irons are sure to become top sellers and some of the most widely sought after curling irons in the industry.

When FHI Heat first started out, they simply strove to create the best flat iron that they could. They quickly achieved this goal by selling some of the top performing irons in the business. The FHI Ceramic Curling Irons are no exception. Using the same sophisticated thermal technology, these curling irons create the perfect style every time.

When you already have naturally curly hair, curling irons are perfect for defining curls and making each one pop. It’s important to be especially careful when you are dealing with this naturally curly hair because it tends to be more prone to breakage and damage than straight hair. FHI’s advanced technology is perfect for this fine, damage prone hair because it conditions each hair as you style preventing breakage or any frizzies.

FHI Heat is one of the industries leaders when it comes to utilizing ceramic, tourmaline and the newly discovered Nano-Fuzeion technologies in their hair styling products. Ceramic has long been known to be the material of choice for hair styling tools. This is because of the constant and even heat that ceramic creates. This means that there will be no hot spots on the tool, so you won’t have to worry about burning your hair. Ceramic also uses a moist heat that seals in the moisture into each hair, so you don’t get that dry, frizzy damaged look as with other tools.

Tourmaline is a naturally occurring element that is a natural source of negative ions. Negative ions are great for your hair because they allow each hair to keep its natural moisture and oils and they actually seal in moisture closing each cuticle. The hair then lies flat against the head instead of standing straight up with a dry, damaged look.

When it comes to the new Nano-Fuzeion technology, this is a unique development that actually helps to eliminate any bacteria, toxins, static and bad odors that are on the hair or on the hair tools which creates naturally healthy hair.

The FHI Curling Iron is available in a variety of sizes from ¾” to 1 ½” so no matter what type of curl you are trying to achieve, you will be able to create it using this fabulous technology. There is a swivel cord that lets you style without getting tangled up, it’s easy to handle and sports an ergonomic spring grip handle and kickstand for safety. A digital LCD display is easy to read and lets you adjust the temperature from 266 degrees F to 410 degrees F. So no matter why type of hair you have, you don’t have to worry about damaging it.

For the best in hair technology, utilize the powerful technology in the FHI Ceramic Curling Irons for perfect curls every time.

Simple Tips to Care for your Tools

November 27, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

Let’s face it; quality hair tools are not cheap. When you purchase a quality hair straightener, curling iron or hair dryer, you are making an investment in yourself, your style and your hair. And you have to remember that despite the initial cost, purchasing a good tool will actually save you money in the long run because you won’t have to replace it as frequently and it will do the job right making your hair look great.

Yet, it surprises me when I see how some people treat their expensive hair tools. If you have an investment of any kind, you should take care of it properly and nurture it right? It’s shocking to me to see people through their hair irons in a drawer, pinching the electrical cords or wrapping the cord around the hair dryer before putting it away. These are just a few of the awful things I see done to quality hair tools.

If you are going to spend the money buying yourself some excellent hair tools that are not only effective in styling your hair, but will help it stay healthy and look its best, why wouldn’t you treat those tools well? Of course everyone will have a reason for mistreating their tools, but the biggest excuse I see is that people honestly don’t realize that they are harming their tools.

It’s not hard to take care of your hair tools so that they will last, and I have a few simple hints and tricks for you to make it even easier to care for your straighteners, curling irons and blow dryers.

* Do not wrap the cords around the tool. This is probably one of the most common things that people do. When they are cleaning up the bathroom or packing for a trip, they will wrap the cord around and around the iron or hair dryer. Don’t do this. It will change the shape of the cord and may even permanently affect the cord shape. It also can kink or bend the wires inside the cord. Also, if your tool is still hot when you put it away you could melt the cord.

Instead of wrapping the cords around the tool, control the excess cord by collecting it and using a Velcro wrap to tie it up. This will keep it neat and tidy and will not damage the cord itself.

* Take care of the cords. Besides bundling the cord up nicely, be very careful when it comes to other hazards for the cord. One of the biggest culprits for damaging electrical cords is drawers. When you have all your hair tools out on the cupboard, and drawers are opening and shutting, it’s all too easy to get a cord shut in the drawer. This can pinch and even sever the cord making your tool useless.

Also be careful not to get more than one cord wrapped up around each other. This is a safety hazard as well as a risk for creating knots in the cords of hair tools.

* Keep your tools clean. This may go without saying, but if you keep your hair tools clean they will last much longer and give you quality performance for years. All you need to do is give your curling irons or hair straighteners a quick wipe down with a damp cloth when they are cool to remove any build up. If you have a bigger build up, use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth. Check out our guide for cleaning your hair straightener. For hair dryers, clean the lint trap at the back of the dryer to keep it free from lint and build up. It is not hard to keep your quality hair tools working and looking their best. With minimal effort, your investment in a quality hair straightener, hair dryer or curling iron will last for years giving you beautiful, healthy looking hair.

Chemical Straighteners vs. Hair Straighteners

November 27, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

It’s inevitable; you want to change your hair style from time to time everyone does. But what if you have curly hair and you want to make it straight? You do have a few options available to you depending on what you are trying to achieve with your hair. Some people choose a chemical hair straightener over a hair iron because they think that straightening the hair permanently is the way to go. But what about the dangers of chemical hair straighteners? Is it safe?

Safety is definitely a concern when it comes to using a chemical hair straightener, because you are putting chemicals on your head and when there are chemicals involved there is always a concern for your health as well as your hair. Before any stylist uses a chemical hair straightener they should do a strand test. And why do you think they have to do a strand test? Well, because chemicals can cause harm, and by doing the strand test they are trying to determine how much damage will occur.

When you use chemicals on your hair they will almost certainly cause damage to your hair. And why would you want to damage your hair in the quest to create a beautiful style? That seems a bit backward. You should want to create a beautiful style, not a dry, damaged, frizzy style.

So what’s your other option? A hair straightener of course. One simple tool can straighten your hair safely, easily and not only will you be able to create the style you are looking for but your hair will look phenomenal as well. That’s because using a high quality hair straightener, one that utilizes the power of ceramic, titanium and tourmaline will actually improve the look of your hair. A quality hair straightener will infuse your hair with powerful negative ions that work to lock in the natural oils and shine in your hair cuticle allowing it to lay flat on your head. So not only will your hair be straight, it will be healthy, shiny and more beautiful than before. Forget the frizzy, over processed look.

Some people think that it will be easier and more convenient to use a chemical straightener. That way they can wake up every day and their hair will be straight without any effort. However, despite the risks to your health and the health of your hair, there are other issues involved with chemical straighteners. Your hair will require touch ups every few months, and the look is permanent. This means that if you decide that you want to wear your hair curly for a change, you’re out of luck.

And if you think that using a hair iron is not easy or fast, you are wrong! A quality hair straightener will straighten your hair out quickly and effectively which means that you can straighten your hair out every morning achieving the style that you want with minimal effort. And as an added benefit, your hair will be shiny, and healthy as well as sexy and sleek.

You do have choices when it comes to straightening your hair, but the only real choice for straightening your hair in a healthy way is a quality hair iron.

When it comes to quality hair products, you must do your research and examine all of the options before you make a decision. But just like anything else, once you’ve found a brand that you like, it’s easy to become brand loyal; particularly when that brand is of a very high quality such as CHI.

CHI brand products, also known as Farouk CHI are one of the very best in the hair styling tools industry and it’s easy to see why. With both hair straighteners, and hair dryers, Farouk CHI uses the latest technology to give you the ultimate hair styling products.

When it comes to hair straighteners, CHI hair irons have all of the features that you are looking for. The original CHI ceramic Hair Iron utilizes the power of moist ceramic heat with ceramic plates and coils. The beauty of ceramic heat is that it maintains an even temperature at all times which means that you will not burn your hair with hot spots. The original iron has become a favorite with stylists and home users alike because of its affordability as well as ultimate performance.

One of the latest additions to this top quality product line is the Farouk CHI Nano Ceramic Flat Iron. This hair straightener combines the power of ceramic heat with far infrared heat which means that your hair will be styled faster, using less heat and eliminating the risk of damaging your hair. The Nano Ceramic Flat Iron also utilizes Nano Silver Technology which is a natural antibacterial, so this hair iron actually works to eliminate any bacteria from the surface of the hair iron making it a perfect choice for salons or multi user environments.

When it comes to hair dryers, Farouk CHI also provides top quality products that you can rely on. The Farouk CHI Turbo Hair Dryer uses ionic technology to infuse each hair, drying it from the inside – out. The ceramic heat used in this hair dryer seals the cuticle which locks in the natural oils and moisture in each hair eliminating the dry, damaged lock. Negative ions help dry the hair faster, as well as replenishing moisture and sealing hair cuticles. The result is beautiful healthy hair that is not damaged, dry or frizzy.

Farouk CHI has also taken their powerful ceramic technology and coupled it with the latest in Nano silver technology to bring you the CHI Nano Ceramic Dual Air Flow Hair Dryer. This dryer not only dryers your hair with moist ceramic heat, but it uses Nano Silver Technology to kill up to 650 different types of bacteria which results in a safer environment for you and your hair. Finding a trusted brand name that you can rely on to bring you the best in hair styling products is important and that’s why so many people have come to rely on Farouk CHI for all of their hair styling tool needs.

November 24, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

Here the top 10 hair straightening tips to make sure you get the best results from your flat iron, every time!

1. Always make sure your flat iron plates are clean! Use a soft damp cloth on a cool iron to wipe away any residue.

2. Allow your flat iron to fully heat up to the set temperature before styling.

3. Blow dry hair straight before straightening hair and make sure hair is completely dry before hair straightening to avoid burning hair.

4. Use a heat protectant styling aid to keep hair healthy when using heated styling tools.

5. Section hair into layers so you can start with the back bottom layers of your hair and work your way up and around the head.

6. Straighten 1 inch sections of hair at a time.

7. Glide the iron SLOWLY down the section of hair for best results and to avoid having to go over the section of hair more than once.

8. If your hair is super curly, follow a comb with your flat iron down the section of hair during straightening to help smooth the hair.

9. Do not clamp the flat iron plates too tightly but do make sure you have a good grip on the hair as the pressure of the plates combined with the heat of the iron is what straightens the hair.

10. Make sure you are using a professional hair straightening iron! Checkout Choosing the Right Hair Straightener for You.
